Summary:
AB 2092 would create an Early Childhood Integrated Data System and establish it under the Department of Social Services for the purpose of integrating data from multiple programs relating to children from birth to five years old. Its aim is to integrate data to assess patterns and trends. It requires the establishment of a task force within the department to integrate data and develop the data system to monitor the applicable services. The task force is also responsible for annually submitting a report on the continuation of the data system to the legislature.
Concern:
While this bill is introduced as an effort to easily identify trends and make applicable government programs more efficient, it poses a risk to personal privacy and voluntary participation.
