We strongly oppose institutionalized early childhood education, believing that parents should have the primary right and responsibility to guide their children’s upbringing and education. We are concerned about government intrusion into family matters, especially with the expansion of programs like universal preschool, which we see as an infringement on parental autonomy. Research shows that while early childhood education may offer short-term academic benefits, these gains fade over time, and such programs may even harm children’s long-term development. Our work focuses on providing evidence-based information to inform the public and policymakers about the potential negative consequences of government-funded early education and the importance of parental choice, including private home education.
