A Note From Nathan
Dear Friends,
As we enter October, I’m grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness through a full and encouraging season of ministry. Homeschool Freedom Day last month was a real blessing, and we were especially encouraged to see how many families were strengthened and encouraged by the day. Thank you for praying for the event. We truly saw the Lord answer those prayers.
Our time at the homeschool conferences in Florida was another great encouragement. It was refreshing to spend time with like-minded homeschool leaders from across the country, hear what the Lord is doing in different places, and be reminded that we are part of a much larger effort to preserve the freedom families have to educate their children. We came home with a renewed sense of mission as we work together to address several looming threats to homeschool freedom and parental rights.
Although state legislatures are now on break, the work continues behind the scenes. Please pray that we would remain diligent and watchful during this season. There is much happening that may not be visible publicly, and we need wisdom as we monitor developments, build relationships, and prepare for the legislative battles ahead. Please pray that the Lord would give us discernment to know where we need to engage and courage to faithfully stand for truth.
October also brings several opportunities to connect with homeschool families. The Stoa speech and debate tournament season begins this month, and we are grateful for opportunities to have a presence at these events to encourage students and families. I’ve also been invited to speak at a special event in Yorba Linda. Please pray for wisdom as I prepare and speak, and that the Lord would use the opportunity to encourage and equip those who attend.
This month is also special for our family as Betsy and I celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are very grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness to our marriage and family over the years. Please pray that the Lord would place a special blessing on our marriage, strengthen our love for one another, and continue to give us grace, wisdom, and joy as we serve Him together.
As we look toward Reformation Day later this month, I’m reminded of the importance of standing faithfully upon the truth of God’s Word. Please pray that the Lord would give each of us courage and faithfulness to steward well the freedoms He has entrusted to us and to remain faithful to Him in our own generation.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer. I’m grateful for your partnership and for the privilege of serving the Lord and families together.
