Dear Friends,
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s holiday! As we begin another year, there is a lot to pray for, especially with the legislature back in session.
Please be praying for the U.S. Supreme Court and those involved in arguing on Prop 50. This doesn’t change the California state districts, but changes the districts at the federal level in the U.S. Congress. Thus, it would impact who gets control of the US House in 2026. Pray that God would give wisdom where it is needed and that we would remain faithful and trust him no matter what happens.
The California legislature is also starting up and we’ve already seen a number of bills introduced and several that have been “gutted and amended” from last year. Please be praying for us as we work to analyze those new and amended bills.
As many of you may have been tracking AB 767 with us last year, it was amended significantly to change so that it does not impact the privacy of private homeschoolers. This is a huge praise!
We ask that you’d be praying for us as we do our work here at FPM to serve families across the state. Pray for wisdom and knowing how to prioritize all the bills. Pray for our interaction and relationship with legislators.
And lastly, please be praying for Capitol Day next week, January 21st. We will be visiting all 120 legislative offices and presenting them with information about homeschooling in California. Please pray that all those interactions go well and would be used for good.
