Homeschool Freedom Day
Address: 5333 Lake Murray Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91942
Time: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Event Goals
This event has three main goals:
1) Educate parents and families on what their homeschool freedoms are, and what it takes to maintain them
2) Emphasize the need for private homeschool families to advocate in order to protect private homeschooling freedoms
3) Train these homeschool families and leaders to build relationships and engage with their California state legislators and staff in a friendly, professional manner in order to create a visible presence and positive impression of private home education.
We have a great line up of inspiring speakers that will only grow. In addition to our featured speakers, FPM Executive Director Nathan Pierce and FPM Legislative Assistant Drew Olender will train attendee families. They will explain the legislative process as well as how to effectively meet with state legislators at district offices to advocate for private homeschooling. Join us as we work on preserving our freedoms together!

The homeschool freedom space is the condition and circumstance – existentially, pragmatically, and philosophically – in and by which parents or guardians have the duty, responsibility, and right to direct, manage, and administer the education and upbringing of their children with no control, regulation, or oversight by the civil government.
