Every year, the Private School Affidavit (PSA) must be filed between October 1st and 15th. The PSA for the 2023-2024 school year is now available on the California Department of Education’s website.

Private schools, including single-family home-based schools (private homeschoolers), can proceed to file their affidavits. If you are enrolled in a Private School Satellite Program (PSP), the school’s administrator files one affidavit for the whole group.

What If I am asked for my name and phone number?

If you call as an individual and are asked for your name and phone number, please consider providing them so that your call for or against the proposal will be tallied. The practice of gathering this kind of information is often used to gain an idea of the extent of support and opposition. This information has never been used by legislators to track down people who oppose or support any legislation.
