DESCRIPTION:RSVP Below!  \nJennifer Avila\, FPM’s Director of District Outreach\, has a confirmed meeting with legislative staff in Senator Ochoa Bogh’s office— and you’re invited to join. \n“This training will prove invaluable. I would love to have you join us and learn from this meeting.” — Jennifer Avila \nThis will be a live\, hands-on training on what a real district office visit looks like.  \nYou’ll observe: \n\nA real meeting with a legislative staff member (District Director\, Nick Calero)\nHow to communicate effectively and confidently\nWhat actually happens in a district office setting\n\nWho Should Come?\nIf you live in or near: \n\nRiverside County\nSan Bernardino County (Chino\, Chino Hills\, Ontario\, Rancho Cucamonga\, Fontana\, Upland\, Montclair)\nEastern / Northeastern LA County (Diamond Bar\, Pomona\, Walnut\, San Dimas\, Glendora\, La Verne\, Claremont)\nEven Brea (Orange County)\n\n…and if you’re willing to drive to Redlands—this is for you \nWhat to Expect\nThis is a low-pressure environment: \n\nNo need to speak unless you want to\nJennifer will lead the conversation\nYou can simply observe and learn\n\nThis is one of the best ways to gain confidence before doing your own visit. \nWhy This Matters\nDistrict offices are where legislators: \n\nSlow down\nFocus on their constituents\nBuild real relationships\n\nAnd that’s where your voice matters most. \nWe need homeschool families and advocates visiting every district office in California. \nThis is a rare opportunity to see advocacy in action and get equipped to do it yourself.  \n👉 Reach out for details or RSVP below.

SUMMARY:Homeschool Freedom Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an inspiring and practical advocacy training designed to empower homeschool families to stand up for parental rights and educational freedom! Hosted at the esteemed Ronald Reagan Presidential Library\, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn effective advocacy strategies while exploring history and foundational freedoms. \nIn 1982\, Ronald Reagan said: \n\nOur leaders must remember that education doesn’t begin with some isolated bureaucrat in Washington. It doesn’t even begin with state or local officials. Education begins in the home\, where it is a parental right and responsibility. \n\nThis remains true today! Our mission is to educate and inspire families to actively advocate for homeschooling and parental rights in California. We have chosen to host this special event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library because it serves as a perfect setting to reinforce the importance of protecting our freedoms. \nCelebrating Freedom – 40 Years of Ministry\nNot only is it the 250th anniversary of the United States of America\, but it is also FPM’s 40th year of ministry! God has been incredibly faithful\, and we are excited to celebrate with you. It is because of you that we have been able to continue defending the right of families to homeschool without governmental interference. \n \n \n \n \n \n Featured Keynote Speakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Robert Bortins\n Classical Conversations CEO \n Robert Bortins believes that truth\, goodness\, and beauty—pursued through classical education—can transform families and renew culture. As CEO of Classical Conversations\, he has dedicated his life to equipping parents to raise wise and virtuous children who will shape tomorrow’s world.  \nRobert’s passion for education runs deep. Homeschooled through high school\, he went on to earn an Industrial Engineering degree from Clemson University. Now\, as he homeschools his own children and leads his family’s company\, Classical Conversations\, he brings both personal experience and professional expertise to the classical education movement.  \n🎙️ Listen to Robert on the Frontline Podcast with Nathan! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Zan Tyler\n Speaker | Author | Podcaster \n Zan Tyler speaks to the heart of Christian parents like few others. Zan’s own homeschool journey began in 1984 when she was threatened with jail. She has spent the past three decades advocating for homeschool freedom\, publishing curriculum and resources\, and joyfully equipping parents to thrive in their homeschool journey. She is an uplifting speaker\, author\, and the host of the Zan Tyler Podcast\, an encouraging and practical weekly podcast sponsored by BJU Press Homeschool. \n🎙️ Listen to Zan on the Frontline Podcast with Nathan! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Nathan Pierce\n FPM Executive Director \n Nathan Pierce began working at Family Protection Ministries in 2002 and currently serves as the Executive Director. He works behind the scenes at the State Capitol\, meeting with legislators and staff as well as testifying in committees to advocate on behalf of homeschoolers. Nathan values the importance of evaluating all things from an intentionally biblical worldview and works every day to maintain our freedom to do so. \nNathan was homeschooled through high school and received a B.A. in Political Studies from The Master’s College.
