Current Status

The Assembly Judiciary Committee has passed SB 866 on a 6-4 vote. Thank you to the legislators that voted “no” on this dangerous legislation. This is the LAST CHANCE in the legislature to voice your opposition to SB 866! It will be heading to the Assembly Floor to be heard and voted on sometime soon, and if passed it will go to the desk of Governor Newsom. From there it would become law if signed by the Governor.

The opposition voiced in the Assembly Judiciary Committee this morning was strong and continuous, far outpacing the amount of support that this bill received. Thank you to all who made calls to their Assembly Member or to the committee itself.
