Kevin Boden and his wife, Wendi, became homeschooling parents in 2008, when their oldest child was in first grade. Now, many years later, they continue to educate all their children at home. Kevin is a graduate of Wheaton College (IL) and received his J.D. from Seattle University. Prior to joining HSLDA, Kevin served on active duty in the US Air Force for 10 years as a Judge Advocate, allowing he and Wendi to homeschool in three different countries and five states. Kevin has served three years in the Alaska Air National Guard and continues his service as a drill-status Guardsman. As Staff Attorney, Kevin serves as the primary contact for members in nine states and one territory. He is passionate about the freedom to homeschool and the blessings of being a dad. He also enjoys running, (almost) all things outdoors, and spending time with his family

Lynda Sloneker serves as the Executive Director of Stoa Christian Homeschool Speech & Debate, a national organization equipping homeschool students with communication and critical thinking skills through competitive speech and debate. Before taking on this role, she served on the Stoa Board of Directors for five years and was President of the Board for two years. A homeschool mom herself, Lynda educated her own children from kindergarten through twelfth grade and remains deeply grateful for both the right and the gift of homeschooling. Her journey with Stoa began in 2014 when she founded a club in Arkansas, and she has been coaching ever sinceโ€”with a particular love for Lincoln-Douglas debate. Whether she’s mentoring students on crafting a persuasive case, supporting club directors across the country, or helping families discover the transformative impact of speech and debate, Lynda is passionate about building a community where young people grow in confidence, character, and the ability to articulate what they believe and why.
