New Bills Pouring into California Legislature
New legislative proposals are beginning to pour in for the 2019 California legislative year, which began January 7th.
In partnership with Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), Family Protection Ministries (FPM) continues to daily monitor every piece of legislation introduced or amended throughout this 2019-2020 two-year session. Working together, we respond to any legislation that could affect private homeschooling or any related parental rights.
We certainly hope that this legislative session will not lead to another attempt to regulate homeschooling. But if it does, we will work to make sure you are properly prepared to speak up for our homeschool freedoms and send out specific Action Alerts on who to contact, when, and with what information. |
FPM and HSLDA work together to identify potentially threatening legislation that could impact the freedom of private home education in California. We carefully analyze every bill we have identified as a threat to our current freedoms. After we have determined the best strategy, we go into action. As needed, we contact you through our email Alerts and websites, letting you know of any threats to our current homeschool freedoms and asking you to take action by contacting your state legislator.
We know that, as God has done in the past, He will bless your prayers, support, and calls to your state legislators. It is a privilege to work in teamwork with you and with CHEA and other organizations to preserve our freedoms. It is critical that we continue to be as vigilant as ever in California.
The ongoing battle to protect private homeschool freedoms has stretched our already-tight funding very thin. Please consider donating financially on a regular basis and pray that we would remain strong throughout this legislative session. Without your support, we would not be able to advocate on your behalf on bills relating to homeschooling. Donate to FPM Online! |
